Some time ago, I heard that Duff McKagan is embarking on a tour that includes stops in cities like Warsaw and Berlin. I'll definitely be attending one of these shows, not so much as a die-hard Guns N' Roses fan—though I acknowledge their classic hits—but because I am deeply intrigued by Duff's personal journey. His story is a compelling testament to the human capacity for change and resilience, continuously reinventing himself both personally and professionally. Reading his autobiography was both shocking and reassuring, conveying that it's possible to rise above even the toughest challenges. This isn't your typical Disney narrative with a guaranteed happy ending; Duff doesn't sugarcoat the difficulties. Yet, he illuminates a path forward, showing that transformation is within reach. So, I look forward to seeing this unfold live at his concerts.

Fix8:Sed8, a project by Martin Sane, is set to release remastered versions of his early albums: "Dormicum" (May 2009) and "Humanophobia" (May 2006). The release of "Humanophobia" is particularly noteworthy as it documents Martin’s 2003 trip to Cambodia. This album includes the song "Killing Field," which reflects on the genocide committed by the Khmer Rouge in the late 1970s. During a four-month journey across Southeast Asia in 2003, Martin visited the Tuol Sleng museum and an interrogation center in Phnom Penh, experiences he describes as the most shocking he had ever encountered. Approximately 20,000 people were tortured and subsequently killed in a nearby killing field, a horror captured in the photos included in this album. The upcoming release also features an additional, previously unreleased song and a club remix. Pre-sales begin on April 18. For more details, contact the author directly.

The album "OKO" is dedicated to all those who are "on the way to themselves". 10 tracks, arranged in a non-random order, are a journey through the meanders of various, sometimes extreme feelings and emotions.

The symbol on the cover is a compass - "OKO", mentioned in the titular track. "The eye of the cyclone", or a calm place in the middle of a great storm. The essence of the lyrics of "OKO" is "a calm heart". Although cognitive specialists recognize the brain as the only center of human command, according to poets, the heart is responsible for feelings and emotions, as well as intuition. Following the poetic trail, let us acknowledge that the heart is such an internal compass, which serves for navigation - helping to determine the position and indicate the direction. For the compass to work properly, peace is needed.

We wish you beautiful journeys with the album "OKO" and peace in your heart, even when there is a storm around - so that it is always known where you are and where you are heading.

After an incredibly intense year of concerts in 2023, Swans show no signs of slowing down, and those who missed Michael Gira's recent performances with the band on the brink of winter will have two opportunities to change that. The legendary group will perform on February 29th in Wrocław and on March 1st in Gdańsk, with Maria W Horn as a special guest!

Founded over 40 years ago in New York, the group is known for its constantly evolving sound (which encompasses gloomy, brutal noise-rock and ethereal folk), as well as their incredibly loud, transcendent live performances. In their early days, Swans became notorious for their confrontational concerts and mesmerized audiences with sounds like those found on their 1983 album "Filth". Since the release of the mournful-industrial album "Greed" in 1986, the band's sound has become more atmospheric, largely due to the addition of vocalist Jarboe. We can hear much more melody and intricate production on albums like "White Light from the Mouth of Infinity". Just after the release of the double album "Soundtracks for the Blind" in 1996, the band disbanded, but paradoxically, their reputation grew, and Swans themselves became a major inspiration for many experimental, noise, post-rock, industrial, gothic, and metal artists.

After over a decade of Gira's activity as the leader of the apocalyptic-folk project The Angels of Light, the musician resurrected the band in 2010, this time without Jarboe. This incarnation unexpectedly resulted in the critically acclaimed material "To Be Kind", which charted in the TOP 40 in both the United States and the United Kingdom. In June of this year, 4 years after the release of "Leaving Meaning", Swans returned with the well-received "The Beggar". And now, at the turn of February and March, you will have the chance to experience the legend's hypnotic performances again!

As a special guest on the upcoming tour alongside Swans, Swedish artist Maria W Horn will perform. In her work, she uses synthesizers, electroacoustic and acoustic instruments, as well as audiovisual components. The composer's typically minimalist music explores the eerie properties of sound and its ability to transcend time, space, reality, and dreams.
