Auto – Auto is a kind of discovery on the music scene. Their single entitled „Dog” is a mixture of experimental sounds from synth/future-pop through club sounds to EBM. It promotes the debut album of the group „Sounds of a new generator”. There are 6 tracks on the album plus a video to the song „Dog”.
The opening track „Dog”, is an album version, which evokes association with old good future-pop from the very beginning and reminds of such groups as „And One” or „Distain!” Next we have 5 different remixes of the track, and perhaps this is what makes the album noteworthy and interesting.
While listening to the subsequent tracks we move from one electronic genre to another and it's hard not to compare them to the music of other bands of the elektro-pop scene like once mentioned And One” , „Distain!” or „Namnambulu” or even „The Azoic”!
The whole album ends up with 16 minutes long EBM track „Sick Body and Sick Mind” which includes a lot of experimental elements which makes it seem a bit too sophisticated at times.
I think that single should get 80% – as an encouragement, as it promises an interesting music development.
