Piercing samples that are immersed in the growing tension of "Maison du Tigre" announce the seventh (not counting the re-edition of the first album and remix like Re-Pale) Diorama full-length album. It will not be easy. Pure nihilism and resignation. No pretending, no cheapness. And so it is until the last notes. Typical for the group electronic structures and synth-pop orientation contrast with emerging more than once sounds of piano, which states a musical space and some airiness of that release.
It is hit like: "The Scale", "Hellogoodbye" with typical, catchy choruses, calm and majestic "Summit", "Justice For All" (songs just enchant with its crystalline, sophisticated sound). There is also a romance with new sounds "Weiss Und Anthrazit" or analogies to the early recordings of the band "My Favourite Song". But this time, however, the whole seems to be very consistent - especially in the lyrical layer, which is a kind of commentary on the condition of the modern world. The advantage is the cover art, which perfectly corresponds with the atmosphere of the album. There is no room for coincidence or imperfections. Solid, remarkable, mature record, that impresses by its diversity. It has almost everything for what I appreciate Diorama. For now, our country is not included on the concert map of the band. But let's hope that this will change, because it would be a true delight to hear the material live.
