GRAI sign deal with NOIZGATE Records - New album and European tour of the Russian folk-metal band planned for September

NOIZGATE records announces the conclusion of an exclusive contract with Russian folk-metal band GRAI. The quintet from the Republic of Tartary in the east of Russia stands for a multifarious mixture of delicate folklore sounds and powerful metal and won the scene over with two successful album releases already. GRAI are planning the release of their third long-player in September 2014 via NOIZGATE Records - right on time for the start of their next big European tour.

Founded in 2005, GRAI can already look back on numerous festival shows and concerts alongside well-known bands such as Arkona, Dalriada or Alestorm. Irina Zybina (vocals), Ruzel 'Ruzveld' (guitar), Aliya 'Leta' (flutes, bag-pipes, vocals), Yuri 'Sadist' (bass, growls, kaljuka, Jew's harp) and Andrey Smirnov (drums) combine 'classic' metal elements with traditional folkloristic instruments and clear, two-part female vocals. Vivid and thoughtful, swift and soulful: With their dynamic plaiting of tunes GRAI are long since impressing the critics well beyond the Russian borders.

Right on time with the album release, GRAI are planning a big tour in Europe. As guitarist Ruzel reveals: 'Together with SatanaKozel from Russia we will play shows in Poland, Austria, Germany and the Netherlands. We're happy to be able to present our new baby to such a vast audience. We have toured Poland last year already, but the other countries are virgin territory to us. We're really excited!'
