April 15, 2011, Jesus And The Gurus released their latest album, which is being advertised as giving a new definition of industrial metal, brutal, fast.
And here a question arises: where? Where is it brutal? Fast - like going 60 km/h thirty-years-old, rickety bus. You feel the speed, and you are worried that what you travel on is about to fall apart.
This CD hurts the ears. There are releases, which do not draw attention, that are good to listen in a car - neutral as music on the radio. But this one... irritates, annoys, makes you want to turn off the CD as soon as possible, erase it from the disc drive and forget that it has ever been heard.
The one and only tolerable track is "Herrenrasse", but one song is not able to make up for what is placed on the whole album.
The vocalist is trying to do everything he can to sound good. His voice is nice, but he trying too hard and it sounds unnatural. However, the instrumental section reminds me of some of those garage bands.
Of course, musical tastes are different. Some people will probably like it. Still, for me, it is boring, predictable, cheesy and plastic.
