Lugburz is a project of Sathorys Elenorth, a musician related to rather commonly known bands: Narsilion and Der Blaue Reiter. While creating "Songs from Forgotten Land", the musician was being inspired by "The Lord of the Rings" written by J. R. R. Tolkien, therefore his record was somewhat forced to challenge the soundtrack of this world-famous screening.
Nontheless, the music of Lugburz is not only a perfect background for the movie's action. It also takes the listener to the Middle-earth. In subsequent tracks the listener gets to know the whole history of the War of the Ring, the landscapes of fantastical worlds created by distinctively visionary sounds, tempting with their variety of emotions and out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere. Hence the release may constitue an excellent background for RPG sessions.
What is even more, the album is so suggestive that all lovers of the story itself will not have any difficulty saying what story a particular track tells. For the others, it will surely be a great neoclassical feast of sounds, penetrating all nooks and crannies of every sensitive soul.
"Songs of Forgotten Land" is the album, which was long-anticipated by each and every fan of Lugburz. It was well worth it, to my point of view.
