Sometimes there is a need for a song, that could destroy all our rage inside us - EP Psychological Warfare from Marc Broude just serves such pieces.
Marc Broude is an independent composer and musician, whose uncommon work has in it electronics, experimental noise, sound of ambient, industrial and black metal.
Broude has began to experiment with unusual sounds from the age of eight(!) He stuck together tapes combining them into a single verbal material. After all, he did not consider his work with music seriously until 2005, when after a long period of emotional destabilization and being around people who listened to mainstream music he felt inside himself the fusion of artist and musician - then he packed up his belongings and landed as a squatter in Chicago. Soon he created experimental noise project Panicsville, and a year later he started to play in Zog black metal band, where he played bass.
In 2006 he recorded a single with a scent of industrial music Psychological Warfare. It met with an extremely enthusiastic response even though it was released as 7" black record in a limited edition of 50 pieces. In 2011 it was released again as a digital version.
Psychological Warfare is simply unpredictable. I do not know why the intro of the title track made me think of an awaking Predator! Album has a quite extensive construction - second by second, from strike to strike you can observe as that walking machine grows more and more in sounds. In less than six minutes Marc presents a solid piece of work.
It is worth to find a moment for that EP if someone has stuck in climates of industrial metal. I recommend especially to fans of Godflesh, early Treponem Pal, Ministry, and even Zeni Geva. I highly recommend the entire works of Marc Broude, especially the ambient atmosphere.
