Rigor Mortiss - Brud
Galleries:

The band Rigor Mortiss returned to the stage after 20 years in the powerful but dignified way. In the beginning of November, the band played at Wroclaw Industrial Festival and on this occasion has released a new EP entitled "Brud" (Dirt). CDs that have appeared at the festival were the prelude to what is preparing by the band, because it was only 66 copies hand-numbered by the musicians themselves.

- The song "UOUD" is an old track written twenty years ago in the new arrangement. Energy of band’s young members - Gosia Florczak on samplers and Grzegorz Chudzik on bass - has given a completely new space. "Krafsa På Mig Ryggen" is album’s first song about love given ironically - "scratch my back". "Brud" is the pure emotion, veins taken out of the flesh and all the guts vibrating to the limits of the body strength of the listener. Riding on the highest register. And at the end just pure, immaculate "Miłość" (Love) - rest for your troubled heart The whole EP is a journey through our human nature, with all its shades - here, unfortunately, with the dominance of DIRTt! – Maciek Stoliński, lead singer and co-founder of the band, talks about the album.
- It should be stressed that only "UOUD" is an old track. The other three were written this year. We recorded them with new members: Gosia and Chudy - adds Jacek Sokołowski, co-founder and drummer.
Although the album includes four tracks, it takes as much as 43 minutes.
The cover is made of gray, eco paperboard on which the musicians personally painted the logo using a spray and then they manually numbered 66 copies. The album was almost sold out during the festival. Several copies can be purchased directly from the band via their profile on FB.
Rigor Mortiss has reactivated after 20 years due to the release of archival materials by Requiem Records. Release of the album, as well as the first concert took place in Warsaw during the event "Old Skull". A year later, the band took part in the project "Miniatury" with Eugeniusz Rudnik music. During the official premiere at the Museum of the History of Polish Jews "Polin" the musicians presented the song "Cyborgernas bon". In September of this year they played at the Requiem Festival. In the meantime, there have been several concerts, among other things the gig with Die Krupps and The Red Paintings. Also this year, the band played at one of the most important industrial festivals in Poland - Wroclaw Industrial Festival. Where can we see them in the next year? It has not yet been revealed.
