Biography:

On "At The End Of The Sea’’, their third long player, The Beauty Of Gemina have chosen an itinerary which is loaded by far more rock elements, placing an emphasis on powerful guitar sounds stirred with a shot of gloomy electro sounds thus displaying an almost inexhaustible spectrum of expressive melodies and compositional refinement.

With both ‘’Diary Of A Lost’’ (2007) and ‘’A Stranger To Tears’’ (2008), their prior albums, the band lead by its charismatic singer and songwriter Michael Sele conquered the international rock and wave scene by storm.

Likewise in its still young band career it has achieved numerous successes, among which a number 1 hit in the Gothic Global Charts, an 8 week placement in the German Alternative Charts (DAC), giving acclaimed concerts in England, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria, playing as supporting act for The Smashing Pumpkins at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, the biggest concert hall in Switzerland.

"At The End Of The Sea’’ combines all the band's strengths. The 13 dense, hypnotic tracks are highly addictive. The Beauty Of Gemina possess a range of unique elements: the dark, intense and unmistakable voice of Michael Sele impressively hovers over the music conferring the songs an anthem-like complexion, gloomy aggressiveness or emotional depth, according to the relative arrangement.

The new tracks sound more organic and breezy, however without losing their dark intensity. Driven by the rhythm department run by Mac Vinzens (drums) and David Vetsch (bass) accompanied by massive, psychedelic guitar walls and orchestral passages, the songs on "At The End Of The Sea’’ disclose spherical density and epic brilliance.

The dark and poetic lyrics composed by Michael Sele tell touching stories and are of cardinal importance in the album. Between the music styles of dark rock and new wave The Beauty Of Gemina evidence a feeling for independent melodies, danceable sounds and complex song writing, competing in masterful manner with the international big shots of the genre.
