Thesis – Young Polish band that treats us to melancholic tracks. Waiting for a new album they decided to release EP, which is an acoustic arrangement of 4 tracks from Channel 1 album.
The CD, as it happens to unplugged ones, has lost its power but for me it became even more melancholic. I really like the voice of Łukasz Krajewski, which leads us through sad thickets of sounds, mixed sometimes with sort of oriental sounds. The advantage of this release is its packaging, minimalistic, not exaggerated. Just like the whole CD, simple but perfect for long autumn evenings.
Does the idea of acoustic arrangement work? For me it does, I prefer Thesis in this way rather than their electric sounds. I think this is one of these bands who can conquer Polish scene, though sometimes some technical faults are clear, but it only gives them more charm.
