"In den zehn Morgen" came out on the 14th of March 2008 in a limited edition of 1000 copies (version extended by eight songs recorded between 1999 and 2002) and the regular edition containing twelve tracks. The album hit number one position on Deutsche Alternative Charts (DAC) maintaining it for six weeks (twenty-second till twenty-seventh week of year 2008).
Xotox have already marked some border by former albums or at least by a blockbuster "Eisenkiller". Is this border still impossible to surpass, or maybe "In den zehn Morgen" is able to do that? What interesting things has Andreas Davids to present us his time?

"In den zehn Morgen" starts with intro "Verlust" despite the fact that it is almost 4 minute long a track. Spoken quotes in addition with various types of different sounds. The overall atmosphere is calm. The more we listen the higher the tension gets. Something is in the air. We sense that it is only the begining, but what will happen next? We are dealing with rather friendly and delicate sounds only to move into a completely different dimension in no more than four minutes. Dimension, which the Xotox sets for us…
"Ewig", which is the second track on the disc, surely is no longer the one which is apropriate for listening at home. I will not hold back the fact that listening to it at home and listening it at a club with a decent sounding makes an uncompearable difference. A difference which we, most probably, will not discover at home and we can only imagine it. Anyway, this album is supposed to be listened to at a full blast, in my opinion this is what this project is designed for. I reccomend one at home should listen to another albums (or else…if we do not like our neighbours so much as to chase them out before the ink is dry – in such situations we can reccomend Xotox for sure). This and next two songs show us what we deal with, what is the Xotox music really like. Harsh, loud, hard, perforating sounds, beats, squeaks, drums. However, apart from sounds which are ‘masacrating’ our ears (certainly, it depends on a person) we can sense a hudge amount of melody, which in such conditions is really hard to obtain. The fifth track comes as quite a surprise. A tune with a spoken text in … Polish! It probably would not make any difference to us if this text was Spanish, Italian or French. But this is a Polish text. We love surprises, especially such nice as that. After the ‘Polish surprise’ comes more. Here we have an appearance of Lahannya in "Habitat" ( she can be known either from her solo projects or from the cooperation with Soman) and Thomas Rainer in "Keine Rue Von Der Sturm” ( a half of Austrian duo L'ame Immortelle / Nachtmar).
To more calm (if only we can talk about calm music In Xotox! What I mean here is a ‘delicate’ slow in the rytm) songs belong "Das Haus An Der Thune" , "Czarny las" and "Habitat". After a temporary "Das Haus An Der Thune" we are welcomed again by rhytmics and strenght which were left for a while, and we remain like this till the end of the album.
If we were listening to this CD at home, our block of flats is problably deserted now, windowpanes are hardly remaining in frames, and we are moving along with the frequencies coming from our loudspeakers, so we can assume that it is maybe enough of listening. But…
The album starts and ends with the same song. The last position is taken by a remix of the first tune. What character can a frame ending convey – the end of the beggining, the beggining of the end? To find out, just listen to this album with a loop :)
What is interesting, Xotox is making use of elements of silence in the most unsuspected moments. This procedure is taking the listener not once or even not twice in a mild embarrasment and disorientation in time and space. Certainly, we can find such moments in "Ewig" or at least in the title tune "In den zehn Morgen" and also the silence between the last and the first track in a loop. A great treatment which makes one think.

Those who know Xotox do not need any reccomendations or further getting round to listen to the CD. If they happen to like the recent publishings, they surely will like this one as well. But for those, who did not have a chance to know the writtings of the band I reccomend to check them – maybe it will turn out that Xotox will remain as the number one band to them?
"Industrial for hyperactive people" – I fully agree with this statement and reccomend it to all.
