Abu Nein- II

Reads: 1509 times

Listening to the new Abu Nein is akin to entering a dream, where tales of magical creatures unfold, immersing oneself in the "silva rerum" comprised of sounds, words, and images that shape their songs. The ephemeral, hypnotic tracks (such as "The Tower" and "Ways To Burn") or the absolute dance floor anthems ("Kiss the Glove," "Moth in Pieces")—even the songs seamlessly blending both elements ("Going Down")—construct a sonically diverse landscape that ensures no one will succumb to boredom. There's an absence of monotony.
I must say that Erica Li Lundqvist's voice is truly breathtaking—pure, deep, reaching straight to the heart. Iconic and sublime, it oscillates between cold and warm, fire and ice. The album is undeniably beautiful, casting a spell on me, and I genuinely aspire to witness the project live. In an era where creating something truly original, distinctive, and artistically sincere, while also being catchy and evoking contemplation and melancholy, is a considerable challenge, Abu Nein has been consistently excelling for years. The new album only reinforces their excellence. Keep up the great work!
