"Dark side of the loop" is a debut EP of the duet Blue Hand. The band resides in the little town near Suwałki - Dowspuda. At the very beginning it should be pointed that it's a unique and original project introducing new sound to the Polish alternative electronic music scene. The CD consists of five tracks, each more or less four minutes long which in the end gives 30 minutes of interesting, innovatory music. The first track entitled "Neurotic Train" evokes associations with the Prodigy at first. Obviously, these associations are very positive. The track is very dynamic, full of pace changes and it could even be called danceable. Fast, hard drums will make your body move. The second track "Fresh Blood" is a bit calmer than the previous one, however, its rhythm is even more changeable. It makes you think of the jazz impromptus. The bass is highly exposed that gives you the creeps. The drums sound slightly exotic and thanks to that one have an impression of ethnic or goa-trance influence on the song. The third track "Novokaine" again introduces more dynamics and pace changes. This continues to the end of the EP. Such composition prevents from boredom and monotony of listening and alternately offers incitement and calm. Combination of many genres such as: breakbeat, electro, drum'n'bass, dark wave, dark ambient or even industrial, makes Blue Hand an extremely interesting and unique project. The band offers something new and does it very professionally. I've a feeling that the band will become recognized and successful.

Track list:

1.      Neurotic rain
2.      Fresh Blood
3.      Novokaine
4.      Reload your life
5.      Shut your mouth
