Bremenn... A new Rammstein clone perhaps? Similar name, and you don't have to look too far for the same image - allright, maybe the vocalist isn't so germanically massive. Let's look at bio... Where from? Lublin? Perhaps a family of a certain Magician from a book by Izaac Singer?
Indeed, gentlemen from Bremenn look like they're out of some other fairy tale (the one about the western music market, platinium records, parties inside a pool filled with champagne, etc.). But don't be deceived by their appearance. They're really good musicians. Their promo CD, containing three tracks, came out this year. Definitely a positive disappointment. Another Polish band from the dark void of alternative scene that has got somehing interesting to offer. Starting with "Lies Won't Die" (which makes me think about The Birthday Massacre, but not only, maybe it's because of that passage in the middle of the track), through "Single Idol" (the most energetic from the three), to the "Historia Ostatnia" sung in Polish ("Last Story") (the first track in Bremenn's history, which ended in the last place on the promo CD) - every track shows a different facet of the band, which I suspect of even more interesting ideas. Those three tracks allow us to put Bremenn somewhere in sweet-mid-heavyweight category on the alt.goth scene map - there is no ruthless tearing apart of the listener, there are interesting melodies, which leave imprints in one's memory. The ladies should find also something interesting here, even if only due to the band's members ;).
The quintet have already proved their prowess during concerts. They're getting more and more publicity... All that's left is the wait for a full album and Bremenn's performance in near vicinity.
1. Lies Won't Die
2. Single Idol
3. Historia Ostatnia
