"Overload" by Fractal marks an intriguing and successful foray into the realm of old-school EBM. Tomasz Lukowicz navigates electronic soundscapes with confidence, crafting expansive compositions energized by a vibrant, fresh beat. From the outset, this music grabbed my attention—'Reactor' being the first track I experienced. The album features a rich tapestry of sounds, blending robust industrial and noise elements with dynamic samples and purely instrumental vigor. Distorted vocals, as heard on tracks like 'Overload' or 'Toxic Grip,' inject a subtly aggressive tone into the mix. Fractal constructs a dystopian world through the use of synthesizer energy, minimalist atmospheres, and a hefty dose of dark, somewhat melancholic mood. Overall, I'm impressed; it's a commendable effort.
