“Kiss and Swallow” is a solo-debut of Corner. After struggle with this CD I have to admit - rather successful one. I've heard many comparisons – whether to Placebo, whether to Depeche Mode. But in my opinion it's very coherent and understandable record, full of good electronic music. Characteristic Chris's voice shouldn't be compared to Molko's or to any other!

There are quiet songs on this record, “I Like Pretending” or “White Suburb Impressionism”, but also faster, more energetic ones, like “Heatwave” and “Skin Vision”. Anyway, consciously or not, you move your foot. And finally, the title song “Kiss and Swallow” and “Your Joy Is My Low”, are very hypnotic. Music is very spacious, which is rather unusual nowadays. The only song which gets on my nerves and makes me scratch my brain is “You Stuck It In Me”. Maybe it's because of the initial monologue, which becomes a little bit better further in time, but not much. Lyrics are not bad, there are even good ones on more or less perverted subjects, so there's no reason to complain. K&S is a definitely unique record, songs out of which sound much better on concerts. Whoever is still not convinced by the magnitude of Mr Corner, let better listen to his joyful work more carefully.

Regarding bonuses:
“I-Polaroids” surprises, because it's unlike the rest, which doesn't mean I don't like it ;]
