'‘Blood, Sweet and Tears’' – do I feel fear after listening to this record a few times? No, I rather look for a prey I could hurt with a cruel smile on my innocent face.
Jesus And The Gurus is the band that consists of three strong personalities, professional musicians and born leaders at the same time. Son ov David, Gabriell Medicine Man and Tom Alien oscillate between delight and hate, which divide their listeners.
The band originally from Switzerland keeps on creating the gothic-industrial music from 1994. They define their music as military-rock and actually it is the right term we have to agree with.
It's been scientifically proved that music is one of the strongest carriers of feelings and it is difficult to disagree with this statement. It is important for signals sent by the record to evoke some emotions. It may be anger, laughter, cry, an incentive to act or some sort of serenity.
This album is a carrier of aggression. Searching for sensitivity or some sort of ecstasy is pointless here. We will not find pity here as it is a sign of weakness. Instead, we can feel a black army coming closer and all-embracing fear, hope nipped in the bud and no compromise.
I've written so much about the mental meaning of the record that I've nearly forgotten to refer to the way it sounds. Everything may be considered as a supreme command. These ten songs from the record are like ten rounds in a fight. Kept in a marching pace, all the tracks consist not only of a clear sound of metal guitars, threatening beats of drums, but also a whole collection of elements accompanied by an orchestra, sounds of machine gun and vocal declamation with texts dripping with venom.
Peace is the last message of' 'Blood, Sweet And Tears"
