Who would have thought, that in a heart of weekend madness, where all around a dancefloor night fever took place, at Meskalina would be that evening so crowded. Still ongoing summer Saturday was firing the atmosphere red in the clubs located nearby, but it did not prevent the concert attracted an audience, that desired a little more ambitious entertainment.
The act was scheduled for 20:00, but unfortunately Keith Caputo and his band arrived at the place just before the expected show. There was nothing else to do but to bring in, install and then prepare equipment to play – that is why the show started an hour later it was previously planned. And all because the Polish roads:).
Although the musicians were tired after all day journey from Dresden, many hours spent on the road were awarded by the audience, who received them warmly, and the group could do a favor in return, by a nearly two-hour set.
From the first tones it was clear that the artists have no intention to take care of themselves. To satisfy entirely the assembly Keith Caputo and his colleagues presented a good piece of rock music. An intimate concert at the city center allowed them fully to spread their wings. Although there were no visual effects, which at the modern times of all-prevailing electronics may cause a surprise, vocalist with the support of the three musicians were able to present what is best in this genre, using only guitars and drums.
Group under the sign of a butterfly, led by the eccentric leader arrived in Poznań shortly after he announced, that as soon as the tour will end, he would change his sex. A more poignant, sung with an incredible timbre of voice caused, that after such performance, no one should have doubts, why this entangled by life man, who has so rich knowledge by experience, in an involuntary way became the inspiration for many artists. The great little man captivated spectators with his modest and sincere approach, and that conciliated him the audience already at the entrance.
It was a vivid concert, played with a rock claw, when it was necessary stirring, again to crush in the next piece into the furnace. It even did not bother, that a few times on the stage lights went out. Musicians who appeared that day, were able to remind what the real good show is.
Lyrical content of songs that resounded that evening, presented a different variety of soul’ diseases, touching struggles with love setbacks, longing for true love, stories the singer knows so much. Keith Caputo is gifted with an extraordinary sensitivity, he is internally vibrating and very emotional creator, while not proclaiming any irrational fears or concerns, he just draws inspiration from his life. Therefore, completion was made by true, piercing to the bone feelings. The performance was strong, honest, ended by a five-minute standing ovation, followed by an encore with three bonus tracks. The whole of the evening was an example, that sometimes it is good to go your own way, even against opinion of the others, to find happiness and peace of mind. And the audience knows how to appreciate it.
