Evidence that the synth pop is still current and still growing genre is Lowe album - Evolver. It sounds good from the beginning. It captivates with electronic sounds so well known from seventies and eighties, the melodies are catchy but not trivial. Scandinavian melancholy appears in their remixes of in "Alpha Bravo" and "Alone in the Dark". The band members themselves admitted that this is the darkest album of their career. In addition, the band does not close completely in the convention of the genre mentioned above but freely uses modern sounds, such as full of energy "Breath in, breath out". Pugnacity and predatory is little lacking in the vocals of Leo Josefsson who, one way or another, has a great tone of voice similar to David Gahan. The album will be a pleasure for Lowe fans, and for those who nostalgically goes back to Depeche Mode or New Order albums.
