On this album one can clearly feel the nostalgia for the sound of the late 80's and the beginning of the 90's.
The latest record of Massiv in Mensh is truly suitable for dancing, yet shocking at some points, just like "Against All Odds". The earlier-mentioned track commences with a couple of delicate tones, which turns into a shattering manifesto of the lost affection, as the piece slowly unfolds its entriety. Outstandingly lyrical and very romantic, it constitutes somewhat an interesting experiment in comparison to the others, rather disco-related tracks; it may be perceived as the real gem amongst the artificial trinkets.
The lyrical layer has nothing in common with that trife, pseudo-deep gabble. There is no such moment where the lyrics do not match the sound, feeling as if superfluous addition. In such a way were the pieces composed that they form an integrated whole.
Some elements of techno, used while creating the album, are not clamant. The trance samples even add a certain hint of intrigue to the whole.
"Die Kybernauten" and "Like a Star" make real dance floor kilers - a devastating beat and cold synthesizers create a callous electro dose.
This record is by all means a well-balanced release, which features a pleasant surprise in the form of "Against all Odds" - undoubtedly the most catchy track on the album.
There are no 'weaker' moments: each detail, indubitably well choosen in terms of the sound itself, results in an overall product of the highiest musical quality. It is atmospheric, dance-provoking and perfect-sounding.
"Niemand Weiss, Was Die Zukunft Bringt" is the record which can be listened to over and over again for hours on end and it will not bore you whatsoever. Being very interesting and polished-up, the album will in all likelihood help you to break from the drudgery of an ordinary day and liven up.
