After 5 years of waiting, Greek Siva Six returns with new portion of music. The Twin Moons album was released by Alfa-Matrix after being almost two years in the making. It is a continuation of apocalyptic vision of Black Will.
The album is started by strong "Faileth stars" which announces the atmosphere of the whole album, namely a lot of distressing apocalyptic sounds with a big dose of energy. The next track of the same title as the whole album, is very rhythmical, probably as most of the tracks, and momentarily is a little bit boring because of that. Staying in apocalyptic trance, moving in the rhythm of Intha Ren we reach the strongest and the best element of the album, the track Valley Of The Shadows.
Shadows, fear, darkness, flood of emotions closed in one song makes it hard to forget. It is an ideal starter for dance floors. Anyway, for me the track is a different, separate apocalyptic story, but still fitting into the whole. Definitely too short is Love Is The Low, I closed my eyes, in my mind’s eye I started to see amazing story and then the time for average Serpent Whore comes, which didn’t evoke any particular emotions in me, neither positive, nor negative. Very calm Hell Is Where The Heart Is allows our legs to rest, but not our minds. However, power and energy return in dancing Necropolis. Two Against The World, similarly as Hell Is Where The Heart Is, allows us to catch our breath, to calm down our dancing legs. The album is ended by the cover of Vangekis Papathanasiou.
The band released also limited edition of the album with club remixes of Synthetic Drem Foundation, Neikka RPM, Memmaker, EX.ES, Acylum, C-Lekktor, PreEmptive Strike 0.1, amGod among others.
Summing up, it is one of the best albums I have recently had a chance to listen to. Combination of IDM and EMB makes it very pleasurable to listen to and for sure I will return to it with pleasure, more than once, offering a real feast to my ears.
