Evi Vine - ...and so the morning comes
Evi Vine is a British singer and songwriter known of her co-operation and performances with The Eden House. The artist's debut solo album ".. and so the morning comes' was released in April 2011. During one of Evi’s concerts in London, where I became an owner of her album, I heard that she has been working and preparing to that release more than 10 years! It was obviously worth the wait - Evi Vine got a very original sound. Personally, I confess that I'm not generally a big admirer of women's vocals, fond a bit more powerful male performance, but this time in a meeting with the extremely talented singer I was completely enchanted and raised somewhere in the dreamy, melancholy, very elusive and decidedly feminine world in the morning.
Evi's voice is bright and clean, beautifully fits alongside traditional instruments like the very light guitar sounds and minimalist drums - along with the sounds of harp, cello and violin. The album was recorded in the artist's home in Kent, which certainly contributed to extremely personal, almost intimate dimension. I can strongly recommend this album to people with the nature of a dreamer, head in the clouds, or those who want to fly high with Evi - and it starts with the first song, For the dreamers'. Track that caught my attention is the ‚Colours of the Night ' where Evi sings accompanied by harp and, Kiss' with very moving sounds of violin. To start your day with that album is a gentle awakening, as the kiss of a loved one in a sun-washed room, lost somewhere among the green fields. The smell of flowers and trees comes to us through the open window, the time when the sun just awakes, and we still drowsy and not fully aware of the surrounding reality are immersed in this unique moment -, In This Moment 'is the eighth track on the album. Enjoy.
