Grausame Töchter - Mein eigentliches Element
"Mein eingethliches element" is a debut album of Grausame Töchter founded by Aranea Peel in 2009. The project is dedicated to all those who are mainly into the fetish style, but not only.
Grasaume Töchter takes us for a musical explosive journey merging currents of EBM, electroclash and classical elements.
The journey starts with a strong hit of Untergang, we can hear a lot of drum’n’bass sounds here, turning slowly into EBM rhythms. A mixture of power noise & EBM in Mefisto guarantees that each pair of legs will leap up to dance. After such an energetic dose of music there comes time for tensing up Beledigte Engel. The chorus sung with an opera voice gets up to have goosebumps all around the back, the song is perfect for an autumn night. After a few minutes of appeasement there’s time for rhythmic Big Das Blunt Fliesst. In my view, it’s the most monotonous track on the album, quite leasing to the ear, but very average. The next stop on our musical route of Grasame Töchter is a wonderful Freudin which serves us 4:23 minutes of a very good compound of crystal clear singing and strong strokes od fiddlestick combined with beats, this makes it my favourite track of the entire record. The terrifying one, Wie Sine Schlange, is an ambient story, though it isn’t danceable at all, we can fall into a nice kind of stupor. Libestod is a loud piece, at some moments being slowed down by equally loud and expressive singing. The next song will successfully keep you from sitting down, slightly alarming, but very danceable. Drecksau is an old good pleasant EBM to me, it keeps our spirit strong ma king the way to an end of wandering around GrausamueTöchter, last but one stop on our journey is the longest piece, Mein Masser. It starts with a very calm trip-hop part, Turing next into an ideal club dance hit, however, to me it’s slightly too long and dull. The trip ends with very melodic Warum Nur which perfectly reflects the feel of the whole album.
To sum up, it’s a work with a really good vocal. Some pieces are worth being remembered, but my overall estimation is run-of-the-mill, so to listen to it a couple of times, then it may turn boring. The Best composition is Freudin, the brillant track, while the rest of music is just right to chill out gladly after a tiresome day.
