Hrv. is a solo project of Bartosz Hervy, known from Rumours About Angels, Blindead and party events Temple of Goths in Gdansk. His music is a concoction of tribal, trance, IDM, industrial and ambient music. We had an opportunity to hear Hervy’s solo project at Industrial Night, Castle Party, Independent Festival in Warsaw or at Ambient Festival in Gorlice. On august 9th his musical artwork has been released on Cd titled ‘Anaesthesia’.

This is a musical response to the oblivion and anesthesia of urban masses, an impulse to rouse one from torpor. The 8 songs are diverse as far as their dynamics and tempo are concerned.
So the rhythmical and full of club-styled beats songs are consequently alternate with calm, ambient interludes, what undoubtedly is conductive to listening of the whole album with no weariness caused by constant, pushy beats Every moment of silence brings tension in order to explode as a powerful, aggressive attack of tribal rhythms enchanting listener to dark and dynamic trance. It happens so in the very beginning, in the song ‘Deep’, which with good reason opens the album and sets its pace (after ‘Into’ song which can be considered as an introduction) – in its ritual rhythm and industrial is just incredibly catchy.

Throughout the whole album there are different varieties of genres within the all of electronic music. For instance in ‘Psychical Anesthesia’ trance dark sounds and ambient background joins club-beat and tribal drums, which are important and characteristic element of the whole and also sound really good and unusual, matching up to such masters of genre as even Juno Reactor.

The song ‘Condition’ enriches the sound diversity with its samples of guitars taken from Blindead and settled on heavy drum-kick and tribal drums. Who knows the works of Agonised By Love is to recognize the sampled vocal parts taken from ‘Uv Duna’ in song ‘Deep’, mentioned before.

‘Anaesthesia’ is a great sounding album, an interesting mixture of genres with trace climate, and excellent, well-thought-out production. The fact it is dynamically diverse makes listener emotionally involved, carrying away in its industrial landscape.
