‘Flowers from the Exile’ is the latest album by Rome (Luxemburg). Jeremy Reuter’s deep voice and the music in general are quite similar to the early achievements od Leonard Cohen. The influence of Johny Cash is also clearly visible. Melodies are polished up to the last detail, while being at the same time suprisingly simple. The band focused on conveying their message through lyrics, while the music supposed to be only a background. All in all, the album is atmospheric, dark and reflexion provoking. This music is able to awake this particular longing after things we all lose in course of time. I think that all of you who like martial industrial should definetly expand your collection by Rome’s ‘Flowers from the Exile’. It’s really worth it.
