It’s been a full quarter-of-a-century since Apoptygma Berzerk made the transition from electro/EBM toward a more melodic futurepop sound with 2000’s Welcome to Earth, from which "Kathy’s Song (Come Lie Next to Me)" would become one of the definitive singles of its generation.
Now, Stephan L. Groth is celebrating the 25th anniversary of this single with a digital reissue of the original maxi-single via his own Pitch Black Drive Productions imprint. virtually ever remix on the single would be a staple of any DJ’s setlist for years to come, Originally released on Tatra Records in December of 2000. The 25th anniversary reissue will be released on June 12, with pre-orders available now on Bandcamp.Tracklist:
