If you want something nice and easy to listen, you should make sure that you're not going to hurt your ears in the meantime. If you finally realise some craving for pop, let it be Claire Voyant. I shan't enter into genre-wars here - the artist calls her creations dark dream pop, and let's leave it this way. Dark. Yeah, it's not another happy production. Maybe it's not too dark or bleak, but it surely is "dense".
A very feminine voice accompanied ideally by music, forming a very entangled but also accessible whole. It all depends on the mood of the listener. Personally, I recommend this album to all those who like to lie down and dream awake. Dream. It's a very dreamy album, that's certainn, with sounds chosen to make your thoughts flow smoothly through your mind. And whatever you're thinking of, Claire's music will reflect your mind's eye. Or the other way round - I'm not sure which is more dominant. Pop. As I've alread mentioned, the music is not that hard to grasp in this case, especially if you won't try to make it harder for yourself. The lyrics are clear, as long as you don't want to find some hidden messages. The lead role is played by the vocalist, whose wonderful voice is like a cut and polished gem. We often get great vocals not able to cope with all the intricacies of singing - with Claire Voyant it's clearly not the case. Everything has been worked on thoroughly, each passage, each vibrato. The music is mainly minimalistic or similar to ambient and darkwave, getting more aggressive only at times. More aggressive does not mean it is aggressive, though. I can't imagine Claire and aggression, anyway. Her music is perfect for people looking for some rest and relaxation. Its ethereal sounds ensure uninterrupted brooding. Just let their flow encompass you.
