The new Diorama album was preceded by a great single „Synthesize Me". However, full-length album "A different life" is different in stylistics…

The CD has already been given a lot of different opinions. With the majority of those derogatory. Torben Wendt – the author of lyrics, music and the vocalist in one person has made his music kind of odd which was quite a surprise for his orthodox fans. "A different life" presents a little bit different face of this German group. You would like to ask with words of little Eugenia from "Jasminum" movie: Why are you wondering? It smells different, tastes different… It means: it’s alive, it’s developing. It stars a new life.

It had to be different. This CD must have been different. Different from its predecessors. The new quality is being born. Nevertheless, a different life is the effect of a synthesis… The music of Diorama is an expression, an image, a vision of something undefined which is situated between the truth, reality and logic (from the definition of authors). Only trinities. Divine trinities. And its synthetic three dimensions.

But to the point… when it comes to music it still has "the atmosphere" and mood but a different kind of mood. "A different life" is full of massive, rhythmic sounds cased in a proper melancholic stylistics of electronic depth. Of course I mean outstanding single "Synthesize Me" or "Definition Power". However, a track which opens the album "Screenface" brings Front Line Assembly music to mind. This track is much more predatory than a delicate ballad "Blessed". Anxious lyrics at "Different Life" are the attempt to say goodbye to the past… Everything has burned down. What exists, is alive but it’s tired like an old man. It exists but knows that there is a finishing line. But it really wasn’t my fault… ("Why"). So: wait for me this night… Or: Get out of here! I’m starting a new life… (the hidden ending track)

Diorama’s music is one of a kind - nostalgic, dark, melancholic and also romantic. This year this extraordinary German band will perform at Castle Party 2007. The last weekend of July will be full of excellent bands so You can’t be anywhere else but in Bolków!
