No name Desire is a group of three nice Czech guys with whom we had a pleasure of drinking two years ago at castle Party Festival, Bolkow. The album which I am writing about was released in 2004 and is already covered with dust. It just happened that it waited in a queue to be reviewed for this past few years. Better now than never. So far it's the only LP release of the band and it was limited to 1000 pieces so it's hard to tell if it's still avaliable. It's all about general knowldge and let's move now to what's most important: music which is very much digestable. I would even dare to say that I take more pleasure in listening to it than to the latest work of Wumpscut. It's not monotonous and monotony is the thing that discourages me in most of releases in harsh circles. Vocals neither delight nor annoy, there are no silly melodies and, as a whole, it makse sense without being a cluster of unthought ideas put together. If one looks for comparison I'd say it sounds like the old Hocico especially in sound and arrangement. It would be even better if the "Tissue of Lies" was thrown away because, frankly speaking, it didn't really went off well. To conclude, for a first LP that already has four years, it's not bad. It's nothing sensational but I didn't expect anything new or that they discover America. Fragments of all the songs are avaliable on the Official Website of the group; the link is to be found below.
