Ohm is a record from the band with the same name. They are regarded as one of the representatives of industrial electro music. This is an experimental music. With sadness I must say that in my opinion, the experiment failed.
There are 10 tracks on the album, most of which last about 4 minutes. These are four minutes of tedious rhythm and light metallic clangs. After listening to the first track "When robots fuck" you can feel a kind of curiosity. It concerns the idea of music represented by the group. But when we listen to the third, fourth and each subsequent track prepared according to the same concept, interest starts to decrease and gradually turns into weariness.
The only distinctive track is "Aurora". It draws attention by its delicacy, lack of text and, above all, length. In contrast to the rest of pieces by fact that it lasts only 2 minutes. Selection of sounds gives it a mystery. And melody brings to mind the fog, it causes anxiety. It introduces the listener into an unknown world, which cannot be describe, or define.
Record presents, far too "dry" pieces, it does not outstand with something special, it carries no message, and a notorious clash of metal can be tedious in the long run, nay, even annoying. The only thing that can be honored to the artists, is the fact that they have created a coherent whole, an unified concept. Unfortunately, it is at such a low level.
Definitely you cannot recommend it to admirers of ballads, colorful melodies, deep and emotional lyrics, it is hard to find something that would attract fans of heavy rock or heavy metal.
Tracklist:
01. When robot fuck
02. Car crash
03. Detroit
04. Divinity
05. 4am
06. Aurora
07. Apparition
08. Destroyed in Seconds
