Sometimes it seems that when we listen to something for the tenth time we get to know this and we know what to expect. Later it's nice to say that we like a CD, that it's important to us and that we are able to discover something new in it each time. This “new” thing is often a gift for the persistent. I was supposed to write that the CD is so hopeless and neutral that it's almost naught. I didn't concentrate and I didn't get the gift. But now, as I'm writing it, it charms me with its sounds. So in the end, it's the music for the persistent and demanding...
While listening to the Plankton's album for the first or third time I didn't feel much... so I listened to it for the eleventh time not to miss some sort of revelation. And it's coming... gradually, but it's coming. I thought this album cannot stand to this what it encourages to, but as I said “persistence is the key to fulfilment”!  “Sequentiel A Memorie” invites to the world of suspension, uncertainty and it builds the mood of charming terror and anxiety. Next track doesn't satisfy me; “Nothing At All” ruins the plan of the first track. On the other hand,”The Strange Performance” is really good. Overpowering rhythm leaves me in suspension and forces me to listen. Strange, experimental ambient, the sounds of unidentified objects, screams, voices, words. I must admit that I don't like such presentation of the above mentioned motives.
It doesn't mean that the band has no right to being understood. On contrary, they deserve respect in the circle of those interested in this type of the music. I don't like it, but I listen to it for the twelfth time. There must be something to it... I'm disappointed with “Sacrum”; it's fooling the listener with a beautiful title. „No mercy In The Computer World ” doesn't suggest much either, perhaps because of the expansion in time. Such references and no emotions. They slip unnoticed in whispers of time. One cannot say that about „Theatre Is Closed”, which is great combination of sounds and has a great title. One track extinguishes a lot, though at the beginning it seems similar to the rest. But no! It's unique! ”Neodymowe kropelki” is something precious on the album. Beautiful, delicate! Subtle soothing! One can feel as light as those drops. Apart from that, the title is wonderful (“Neodymium drops” trans.,annot) ; it strikes, amuses and inspires to the transmission of the imagination onto everything around. Eleven minutes that cause shivers. The tension is rising and masterly destroys all the attempts to stay uninvolved. I'm unable to concentrate on anything else. I stand, sit and listen. Those drops! Why aren't there more of them on the album?
Don't expect me to say that it's not worth listening to the album. It sometimes paralyses, one may sometimes stumble over it... well, strange adventures with plankton.
