The LP starts quite well. A very dancey music, you just wanna get up. Though, my task is different - to give you at least a vague description of the contents of the album. You already know it's music to dance to. Electronic sounds, vocals similar to Covenant and the like. The first track is a very good exapmle of what you will find in the remaining songs. "Odyssey Of Mind" is really good! "Pale Candle Light" - great! Two songs that deserve to be dancefloor-fillers. Very good arrangements, great sound. The other tracks are quite memorable, too. No arguments against them. Just a feeling I've heard it all before somewhere... As if they copied a well known scheme in each song. It ain't that disqualifying, anyway. Still, at some point all songs merge into one. "Delight" and "War & Peace" are also worth noticing - remember, it's my subjective opinion. I can't forget the memory of the last track. "Self Deception" enthralled me satisfyingly enough, to give the record a 90%. It's worth listening for the songs I've mentioned.

The magic is gone. A great mood is destroyed. What is this? For me, it's clearly disrespecting the listener! How can one sing like that? Be out of key like this? It's a total disaster in comparison to the first disc. Probably it's purely technical, to abstain from accusing the vocalist, who appears to be of little talent. He's screaming, becoming a terrible screech for a very good music background. I can undestand everything, anyone can have a bad day, have trouble hearing oneself during a concert, lack sound monitoring or the skills to record the material. I just can't understand one thing... How can you record such a failure on a disc and sell it to the fan? I think anyone who listens to music will notice the great gap between the two discs!
Therefore, I chose to dislike the whole thing. If the discs came separately, the listener would buy each one with full responsibility. He or she would blame him/herself for the purchase. What happens here is that you buy a great disc 1, paying for the mistake on disc 2. You have to get used to this sonic piece of junk. I'm trying hard not to let my ears fall off. I can't grasp what makes the audience recorded in the concert so happy. Maybe they enjoyed the music. It's really good. And that's it. If I were there, I would probably hop around, with my fingers in my ears... One more thing. A great intro, but it has a long way to go to be like Requiem...
Rating 30%.
I can't judge the two LPs together, there's a gap that's too big for me to get over. The first LP would suffer a beating for the second one...
