The EP Djuel from the duo 6ct Humour from Saarbrücken, Germany, is a little teaser for their upcoming album. Djuel consists of five new tracks, a must for all those of you that love good ol' synth pop in the vein of Depeche Mode.

The title song 'Djuel' is of a very good quality. Actually, 'Djuel' is one of the best things in the area of synth pop in the last years. The dynamic and powerful track comes like a storm, stays in one's head for a while thereafter. Also very danceable it could be the highlight of your next synth pop party. The track comes in two versions, the single version and a remix. Choose for yourself, which one you prefer.
The third song is 'Venture and Dream (WLS Mix)', also a good tune. I cannot tell of what it reminds me of, but it sounds quite familiar. Maybe The Human League in an alliance with Torul.
'Wieder Mal' is sung in German and can be translated as 'Once Again' and is a slower song. Parts of it, however, are also in English. Also here Phil Oakey comes to my mind.
The last track 'I've Got To Go (Zum Städele hinaus)' is a interpretation of an old German folk song, which already Elvis Presley tried to sing. It has good elements, but knowing the original since my early childhood, it is a strange feeling to hear a synth pop version of it.

6ct Humour have good and critical lyrics and they know how to handle their synthesizers. 'Djuel' is an outstanding song, which has good chances to stay in my permanent playlist. I am very curious for their upcoming album.

Tracklist:

01. Dual (single version)
02. Dual (duality mix)
03. Venture and dream (WLS version)
04. Wieder mal
05. I’ve got to go (zum städele hinaus)
