Apoptygma Berzerk is a band full of contradictions and hidden meaning, with no unambiguous way to discern. As many listeners, so many interpretations that make up a clash in mutual discord, and each of the proponents of the opinion is wholeheartedly convinced of its rightness. The artists do not clarify that matter, as in each of the interviews given they baffle the fans even more. One time they claim that their lyrics are incidental and do not have any meaning, the other time encouraging to interpret in search of the second bottom.

Apoptygma itself belongs to small group of artists that carry out their live show far more better than in the studio. And anyone who says that Apoptygma Berzerk is the formation of predominantly stage character - is right. The live album "Imagine there is no Lennon" only reassures the fans in this statement. The extraordinary performing art and energy is so dynamic, that not only audience, but also listeners are simply infected with music and lyrics. From the first words of "Weight Of The World "consisting of guitar riffs and sounds of synth, we cannot refrain from a thorough listening to the entire tracklist of the album. It seems that the choice of songs could not be better formed and presented to the world than in this actual form. I admit that I wouldn’t have changed anything in the main convention of the album

Imagine there is no Lennon" is one of these albums, which are not free from interpretation. And though the album is very energetic and free of stagnation – it’s said not to be an optimistic one. It is melancholic and nostalgic, and the contrast based on the intensity of sound underlines it. It would seem that each song of the track is a separate story, probably shared by many people. Graceful skip between successive positions of differing climate does not allow the listener to get bored and also builds impatience. After every single listen, the album still remains surprising allowing to discover itself again in a totally different way and to blur the sense of time. It would seem that the first song has just ended. Then why "Non-Stop Violence" is now being played?
