Counterfeit I was founded in 2008 by Derek Allen. Their first release was "Circuity" (2009), then "Search Party" (2010) and the time has come for "Still Volume I" (2013). It is the first EP of a new series of this experimental rock. It is like a vehicle taking a listener to the world where music is created for its own sake not for the industry, masses and transitory fame. Today this kind of music is unfortunately rare. The group creates with passion what surely will be appreciated by the fans of honest and true music. It touches with its intensity and floating unevenness, changing dynamically from moving melancholy through more joyful tones to harder rock sounds. The whole creates hypnotizing effect and makes it possible to look into human’s soul. As it is mentioned by Derek it is an expression of themselves and their experiences through sound. Such music undoubtedly must be true.
