Eldar is a martial industrial - ambient project coming from Barcelona. Their newest release, "Amaterau Shiroi" contains remastered versions of trakcs which appeared on their earlier recordings "Ama Terasu" and "Solve Et Coagula". The songs have been altered concerning vocals, instruments, samples, which made them more and, in my view, better done than the previous versions. The music is dark, poetic, it carries more classical elements than it usually does in ambient and martial industrial artists' works. Thanks to that it is also more mystical. The whole album makes a coherent integrity, but it's not monotonous, contrary, the music is really absorbing and intriguing, it can be listened to for hours and still one discovers something new. "Amaterasu Shiroi" is one of the best records that I lately happened to get familiar with. I think it will be to the liking of admirers of works of such bands as: Laibach, Toroidh, A Challenge of Honour,and The Protagonist, and to all those who are curious about how a connection of ambient/ martial industrial with neo-classical music sounds like, or they look for a springboard from popular, totalitarian martial industrial.
