After long months of material preparations for the debut album by POPUP, taking almost the whole 2006, we received a totally different album out of the blue. A new character showed up in the band's existential space - ETE, whose extraordinary sense and unusual precision transposed the band's material into a new sound phenomenon. The album contains remixed POPUP tracks and gracefully flows onto the ambient ocean with "Czas na wszystko" ["Time for everything"] (the track emerged previously as "Czastko" on Piotr Stelmach's mix "3maj z Nami vol. 2" ["5tick With Us vol. 2"]. And here's the first surprise. The new version has a different, foggy mood. The following tracks lead us into the musical moods of Jan Jelinek, Underworld, minimal and ambient genres and sounds known from NINJA TUNE releases. POPUP's new image, created by ETE, is a fresh breeze in the Polish electronic scene. The album's unique atmosphere and thick air gently drill the listener, pulling him deeper into the underwater depths of a magical sea-forest inhabited by deep-sea manga-like creatures.

I should also add that the CD is a very aesthetic release enclosed within a DVD-sized casing. Strongly recommended for fans of ambient, minimalistic twists and thick spaces coming from the achievements of psychedelic pioneers.
