As always happens with singles, they need a particular approach. The first step is to review the same piece which occurs in few different variations and secondly, to pay special attention to those positions which were favoured by the reviewer. However, sometimes the song sounds good only in one version and each consecutive remix is worse or even bothersome.
Admittedly, Sthilmann managed to collect exclusively the best tracks of all. Moreover, they are so diversified that everyone may find something special for oneself. The author’s version Electro 2 – The Trance, where Monika Kaptur (Simona de Grave) lent her voice, opens the album. The piece saw the light of day some time ago, precisely in 2006. As the title suggests – it’s trance but it isn’t in the lead. Above all else, it’s dance electropop – perfect for the dance floors with nice and easily absorbing music. Whereby, it’s more electro and less pop. Even more similar atmosphere we may find in Controlled Collapse’s remix. I prefer less H_12 composition – it’s psychedelic, better for noise fans and similar sorts of things. Attack’s remix sounds definitely more familiar to me because of the rich melodics, interesting vocal’s remix and still slightly psychedelic atmosphere but more suitable to dance.
Let’s stick to the sequence…the fourth remix was made by electropop Hot Rain. So far, unknown for me however I associate the name of the band with the remix – it’s relaxing and calmly arranged. Ideal for warm and rainy summer afternoon. Not enough? The next on the list is Dj Hervy with ambient version of the track. As for me...many calm sounds, nostalgia and the atmosphere of increased anxiety out of which sometimes emerges Monika’s pleasing voice. The piece which closes the single is titled Extreme Discoteque remix by Michał Ziółko. I expected something discolike and I found psycho trance. In fact, it really sends into a trance but without stimulants.
Electro 2 – The Trance certainly is the proposition for people who appreciate Sthilmann’s achievements and feel the need to have something more. I like the way Djs were selected. They are representatives of different music genres but still they remain not so far from the original. Thanks to that, everyone may find something special for oneself.
