The Last Dance - "Almost Beautiful"
The highly-anticipated documentary film 'Almost Beautiful' on the popular goth/rock music group, The Last Dance, comes out on DVD August 28th, 2007. A unique music documentary in the sense that it plays like a narrative feature film, rather than an extended music video, which is typical in most band documentaries.
The filmmakers do an incredible job at exposing the true reality of how hard an underground band has to work to survive. No tour bus. No roadies. Just a small group of musicians with a passion to play music. Anyone who has ever played in a band will identify with the situations this band encounters. There are numerous comical moments that remind you of the classic "Spinal Tap" movie. There are moments of drama, which include a night club brawl and a category 5 hurricane. There is an emotional scene when the band pays a visit to the grave site of their former drummer who died during their previous tour. 'Almost Beautiful' is a 2-Disc DVD set, loaded with bonus material including music videos, interviews, bonus live performances, world premiere footage and lots more.
