MS Word automatically corrects the band's name to "Delirium". This procedure is a hint at the atmosphere of this album. A compository trance dosing the listener merges with delicate female singing or vocalization, entwined with Gregorian and Indian children (?) choirs. As usual, Delerium's music is enriched with sounds of various instruments (piano and bagpipes among them).
"Karma" tracks develop quite lazily. "Enchated", the album's opener, sung and whispered by Kristy Thirsk leads the listener into an oniric world of warm rhytms present on this album. "Silence" with Sara McLachlan is disturbing. Perhaps because - as it was said in one of Enigma's songs - "silence must be heard". Delerium's music contains a tad bit more from the French Riddle. An erotic atmosphere. In the French version - dynamic. Here: deliric - lazily entrancing.
Orthodox fans believe that "Karma" is the last album which constitutes the core of real Delerium. The next CD - "Poem" - is acknowledged as commercial pop. The composer duet of Rhys Fulber and Bill Leeb proved itself interesting for the abovementioned group of listeners once again, but for the last time. "Karma" captivates with female vocals and hypnotizes with rhytmical trance. It's a CD you have to be careful with. It loops in your player automatically. It pulls you like a musical cyclone. Into itself. This disc is like a journey through life. In silence, flaming euphoria, wisdom and lamentation. Forgotten worlds come back as a memory of a troubling present.
Delicate rhytms of Delerium's trance music make this album perfect for at least two kinds of situations. "Karma" is good for any evening and night as a background theme. During a hot day it can be an undisturbing musical companion. When you're sitting in your chair with a book that you can't leave. For example. Automatic replay all the day.
Tracklist:
1. Enchanted
2. Duende
3. Twilight
4. Silence
5. Forgotten Worlds
6. Lamentation
7. Euphoria (Firefly)
8. Remembrance
9. Wisdom
10. Till The End Of Time
