With the Belarusian trio under the name Diffuzion, I had the pleasure to familiarize before, when I tracked down the performers that are similar to Ayria or Psychobitch. The search engine I used did not disappoint my expectations, causing a pleasant surprise, that on the other side of our border, there are (surprisingly) and operate the groups of such type.
"Bodycode" from the beginning draws us into a very melodic rhythm that does not devoid of power. The tracks are varied and all together they form a very cohesive material. I like especially a system that is here preserved. The album opens with a dancing beats of "Falling" and "Wired Tunes", after which the rate begins to slow down on "One Way", until we come to a pleasant remix of "Our wings are gone." Then again the music spins on the "No Fear".
In further part of the record the layout is retained, which invariably makes me think of a good story, that aims to awaken, and then to dim emotions of the receiver.
Particularly my attention was caught by three pieces. The first in the sequence is the "Satellites", which itself is a very pleasant, psychedelic track, and moreover in it is woven a very interesting, Chinese theme. Which one? You have to hear yourself! The second song is a very well built, simply the single one "She" and the last - "Round", which plainly I see at the club dancefloors, due to its catchy chorus motif.
Comparing Xev vocal to Ayria is very accurate – the style, timbre and manner of singing are quite confusingly similar, and the question is – is it a coincidence, or just simple imitation of Jennifer Parkin accomplishments? Especially dynamic is "Join the game", that sounds like her alively removed from the plates. But if it was not so - the sweat voice, nonchalant and packed with effects, fits the music perfectly. If someone likes such vocals - can not be disappointed.
The music defends itself. Perfectly recorded, well thought and arranged. If someone had told me, that this record is the work of one of the western bands – I would have believed. As we can see - interesting things happen at our neighbors, and it is worth to lean over them...
