A ticket to hell, that is the core of the aggro-tech/dark electro style, is how the latest "infant terrible" of Estoninan Freakangel can be described in brief.
"Digital Deviation", because we are speaking about this record, features compositions that are already known from the previous, double-disc album "Faults of humanity", served to the listeners in a new, more agressive manner. The above mentioned work is available only virtually, via the majority of the on-line stores or at the official website of Deathwatch Asia. http://shop.deathwatchasia.com/album/digital-deviations.

Such artists as electro-industrial Menschdefekt, British industrial-metal CeDigest or Aussie hard dance group Acylum were involved in the process of creating remixes. The record also included previously unreleased remixes commited by Say Just Words, Mordacious, r.Noire and Beati Mortui.

Despite many successes the previous record has been achieving all over the world, The Estonian trio does not resign from its self-development and treats us to yet another dose of a decent and atmospheric music. People who savor clear melodics, distorted vocals and uncompromising beats will surely find something to their taste on this album.
In spite of the repetitions of particular pieces - we can hear the standard "My Darling Bullet" in four different versions, for instance - "Digital Deviations" does not bore with monotony in any way. The musical arrengements surprise with with freshness and will surely constitute an injection of the energy for the shrivelled participants of more than one average party.
My favorites are, slightly slower, "Crawling in the Dark", remixed by the earlier mentioned Beati Mortui, and overwhelmingly gloomy "Curse. Forgive. Kill. Cure. (CeDigest remix)." The additional bonus of the release is a bonus in the form of the official clip shot to "My Darling Bullet", where, apart from the music, the opportunity arises to estimate the aesthetic value presented by each and every member of the band.
The only track that definitely stands out from the rest is "It's Not a Love Song" in the remix of Studio-X. An unfavorably distorted vocal irritates, whereas the whole indubitadely drifts towards the atmosphere of the parties related to 'white gloves and whistles'.
I urge everyone to listen to this record with clear conscience. I would also like to add that we will stand the chance of veryfing our opinion about the band, admiring Freakangel live (or dead) during the forthcoming Castle Party 2011.
