The name of this band immediately made me think of one of the VNV Nation albums, so I suspected this will probably be some sort of electronic music. I was right, although this music has hardly anything in common with VNV Nation’s "futurepop". I must admit, I usually have a problem with songs sung together by a woman and a man – I just don’t like this convention. The only song with both female and male vocals that I love with all my heart is Interlude by Siouxsie Sioux and Morrisey – however, this is a totally different league and style than the British duo Future Perfect.
I find it hard to define Future Perfect’s music, though this album is advertised as "a must-have for any electro fan". It is supposed to be a "mixture of melody, rhythm, intelligent basslines and beautiful vocals". Well – a mixture of gothic and electronica does not necessarily have to create a well-digested dish. The songs on this album are nonetheless highly melodic and the vocals – quite pleasant to listen to, so I believe there are people who will like the music by Future Perfect. Maybe Blutengel fans? For me, this music is a "who-knows-what?" – neither synthpop, nor electronic music with dynamic beat, nor gothic rock… maybe it could be described as "gothic electronic pop"?
Quite an interesting track is the song number 3 entitled Silent Scream – a bit solemn atmosphere and a catchy tune. Further, the album is becoming worse and worse. An exception is another slow and atmospheric song entitled Complete Machine (track 7) – here the female singer’s voice sounds really well, and the whole song reminds me somewhat of Aurora Sutra (a lady who, a long time ago, played and sang in Project Pitchfork, and later she recorded several albums with interesting music characterized by strong Pagan elements). I think that in such electronic spaces with hints of spirituality the female singer of Future Perfect could really blossom – however, the faster songs by Future Perfect do not convince me at all.

01.War Of Words
02.Counterattack
03.Silent Scream
04.Paradise

08.Saint Perfect

12.Paradise (Stuck Loop Remix) (exclusive CD Bonus Track)
