"Naos" the second album of Marcin Jarmulski and his project named [haven] is a journey towards completely new territories. Anyone who had the chance to hear tracks from the debut album "Last Breath of Lonely Buildings" and expected its continuation will be surprised. "Naos" is a journey to the Middle East, walk through hot sands of a desert, trembling mirages, rumble of oriental market places and howling singing of imams. This album is full of tribal rhythms, gentle spots of synthesizers and mysterious sounds. On the top of it all there are industrial tunes which give additional couloring to alternate songs. It is the best to listen to albums like "Naos" in complete darkness, absorbing every sound flowing from sound speakers and explore further secrets hidden among the sea of sand-dunes. Only then we can discover all flavours and secrets which "Naos" offers us. Is it a perfect album then? I'm afraid not. It ends to soon leaving a listener with a hunger for more and disappointment that "this was it". Fortunately the only thing you need to do is to press "repeat" button on your player and continue savouring those sounds...
Michał‚ Karcz, who carried out a lot of covers for Rage in Eden (ex. War Office Propaganda) stands behind visual side of this project. And he met the challenge. The yellow-brownish picture, which is on the cover, accompanied with the inner content of "Naos", fully harmonises with the music on this CD and creates successful audio-visual concept. I highly recommend it.
Tracklist:
1. Keter
2. Kyfi
3. Byzantine melancholy
4. Naofor
5. Sakkara's Ghosts
6. Maat
7. Chepre's dream
8. Mantra for abandoned children
9. Sacred ruins
