The Norwegian EBM hit machine Kant Kino strikes back with its second album "Father worked in industry" which was mixed and mastered by Leaether Strip's Claus Larsen.
The band is still faithful to the soul of its debut album (hence also the track "We Are Still Kant Kino" you'd say) but the duo also matured a lot its sound and songwriting. This approach resulted in addition of clear and vocoder vocals as well as some guest female vocalists, plus the injection of wider influences from techno/electro to even pop/rock in the song structures. There are more ingredients that will please the public as they also reprised the classic "Warm Leaetherette" with Claus Larsen on vocals. If you saw Kant Kino live in Norway a year ago during the Xelebration Festival 2011 you already have heard the live version with Larsen on vocals.
The album itself is available in 2 physical formats: a normal CD and a deluxe carton box edition with the exclusive 16-track bonus album "Now The Work Has Moved On". On that bonus album you'll remixes and remakes going from metal from Anders Odden (Satyricon, Apoptygma Berzerk, etc) and hard electronics from Gothminister, to hard hitting TBM by Elec This!, high-tech electro by Aesthetische or yet Dubstep from Essence of Mind. Also featured: a couple of reworks by Kant Kino themselves as well as new interpretations of Kant Kino songs with vocals from Leaether Strip and Sudeten Creshe.
The album comes out on Feb.22th by Alfa Matrix.
