Singer and songwriter Roi Robertson from London is Mechanical Cabaret. With his appealing mixture of EBM and Industrial influences, reminiscences of Depeche Mode and Soft Cell, outspoken lyrics and self-confident performance, Mechanical Cabaret has already attracted a faithful discipleship over the past years, e.g. as a support act for Mesh. At the end of 2007, the EP “Disbehave” was Roi’s first release at Major Records. Now for the first time, the label from Hamburg releases a longplayer by Mechanical Cabaret: “Damaged Goods” is the title of the eagerly awaited album, which Roi has been refining for over a year. The result will please not only the fans: Mechanical Cabaret has brought his aggressive, energetic sound to perfection. The digital single release “GBH” already proves: Mechanical Cabaret kicks off without compromise. Released on Major and available March 20th, 2009
