Debut album "The Kraken", from Siren's Legacy group released by VinterSon record label, is an interesting release from the symphonic metal genre. Over 60 minutes of sound is composed by 13 interesting tracks, where each of them is different and at the same time it is equally exciting as others.

That record has everything to attract the listeners - an impressive intro, dynamic instrumental passages, truly virtuosity in percussion and guitars, that create the perfect accompaniment for vocal of talented Jennifer Thomé. Lyrically we are dealing with a story about kraken, the mythical creature straight from the depths of the sea, that according to Nordic mythology, was hunting for ships to make them sink.
Musically there is a lot going on, and content of the disc is dynamic and full of energy, by which the band deliberately infects the audience. Changes in tracks relate both to the pace and the way of singing – female vocalist sings well both in her "normal voice" and charms by soprano, that sometimes reaches very high registers.
The album draws into, but also heavily affects the senses, providing diverse experiences. The result of the artists’ work is an interesting sea tale with an exciting battle in the background.

Siren’s Legacy has committed a fantastic journey through distant lands, which provides a lot of entertaining sensations. Attention is attracted at the same time by extended instrumental parties as by the lead vocal. "The Kraken" is a successful combination of fancy themes altogether with a fully professional performance.
