The tickets for Archive's concerts are always sold out and if anyone happens to be willing to participate in such an extraordinary spectacle, which the band surely treats its listeners to, one has to purchase such tickets as soon as possible. The group might not appear to be easy in perception which does not render it any less liked and appreciated by the Poles and the news that this time the band was to perform supported by a chamber orchestra named l'Autunno, by all means stirred up the interest of lovers of both bands. L'Autunno has already played with a great number of artists presenting different styles of music, such as Smokie or Serj Tankian, which only proves right about their versatility and familiarity with the world of music.
On the other hand, very much anticipated and longed for Archive is known for giving the highest-level shows, during which the musicians do their best to enchant the audiance.
In all likelihood, a better band-combination could not have been imagined.
Yet, let there be some order in this coverage. The concert in Poznań took place at Arena, a venue that, at least usually, does not have either sector or seat allotement at this type of events. That was the only drawback of an otherwise perfect whole, for it caused chaos as the gathered had quite a problem with finding their proper places. For a couple of times, the security removed boards dividing the space into sectors only to bring them back, and even a short while before 8pm a sort of migration of the audience from left to right, in order to find some suitable space, was noticeable. While adding the fact that the show attracted quite a number of fans, one can easily imagine rather a sizeable commotion. At last, exactly 8 minutes past 8pm, all the lights were turned off and long-awaited Archive came onstage, its current line-up consisting of seven members. It could be clearly heard that the audience heaved quite a sigh of dissapointement as everyone was expecting the group to perform with the complete line-up. Along with the very first tacts of "Lights" the concert hall went mute, complete silence fell upon the gathered ones. However, one could heave a sigh of relief upon having heard the second piece, when the lights showed a silhouette of Maria Q, without whom the line-up was lacking a an inseparable condiment, and "You Make Me Feel" commenced, sung with indecent loads of emotions. One cannot easily hide the fact that her vocal constitutes a substantial compliment of the band's music. Then, the machinery was able to gain proper speed and subsequent pieces were enthusiastically applauded by the attendees. Such a warm welcome had not been seen in Poznań for a long while until that eventful evening. The audience was literally absorbing each song, awarding the musicians with immense applause. Still taking us by surprise, the band was presenting subsequent tracks to the gathered, creating a different sort of atmosphere with every piece, the atmosphere that comprised an illustration for their musical searches. The performance was miserable, nostalgic, yet not lacking quite a dose of energy, which the audience was being constantly supplied with.
The concert was simply mystic, giving an impression of being suspened between the ordinary, everyday reality and the art of metaphysics. Yet, the charm of this band does not consist in making you feel that in no rate does the time pass by quickly. The tacts of particular tracks accompanied by the specific voices of the vocalists, combined with a sublime blend of electronica and live instruments of the chamber orchestra, were slowly evoking the feeling of extasy among the audience. Each and every piece was a success that was additionally outstandingly well-received by the listeners.

A total hypnosis of the enchanted attendees occured. That extraordinarily energetic concert will stay in memory of every person who was lucky enough to attend it, both because of the unusual mesmerizing abilities of the artists and a very warm welcome given by the fans. Archive gave the full and thorough view of their musical capabilities, making for an uncommon atmosphere that seemes as if taken straight from the pastel sound aquarel. The strong point of the program was the amalgamation of the group's sound with symphonic instruments, which managed to prove that allegedly uncomplicated instrumentarium supported by classical elements may create a peculiar atmosphere of spiritual unity.
A two-hour performance and nineteen tracks equals the absolute happiness. The journey through not that remote regions of various emotional states, spiced with the captivating sound made everyone resort to a kind of meditation. Exquisite and moving concert whose final surprised when, after sixteen pieces, the piercing silence permeated the air, only to be aborted by a real torrent of screams of ravishment, complimented by stomping and whistles. The band did not dissapoint its faithful audience and as an encore they played three more songs - "Dangervisit" with its overwhelming chrous "Feel Trust Obey", which animated everyone, making them experiencing the rest of the show standing, "Again" - expected impatiently from the evry beginning - a piece that sipmly could not have been ommited, and "Controlling Crowds" for the end of the concert.
The whole created a melancholic, alluring atmosphere which, accompanied by the music, was literally sending you to your knees. Refined tunes were systematically forcing their way into the minds of the audience and the fantastic lighting system in a combination with intriguing effects won the fans' favor for good. Archive showed that the musical experiment, which they have started some years ago, has been constantly developing and evolving in order to still take you by surprise with its innovative approach to music in general.
Simply a fabulous performance.
