Alamut's debut album
April brings the debut album from Alamut - one of the most intriguing Polish projects, playing an original combination of trance ethno and jazz. Oriental vocals, Turkish ney flute and Eastern percussion instruments are mixed with a jazz double bass, guitar and clarinet, taking the listener into a mystical voyage to the East, to the magical Garden of Alamut - the Assassin stronghold.

The album was recorder during the summer of 2006. Noon and Mothaship, young and renowned producers were responsible for the studio work. The band consciously refrained from using contemporary computer sound editing technologies, focusing on live recordings that were very often taken ad-lib in the studio. Getting rid of the track-by-track recording, the album became permeated with very personal, honest and natural sounds. It shall be released soon by Unzipped Fly. The promotional tour is planned for May and June.
