Agonised Too – ToNieMy

The neo-melancholics from Agonised Too return with a song that once again enchants through restraint, subtle sadness, and masterful emotional control. ToNieMy  is both a clever linguistic play — "To nie my" (It’s not us) or "toniemy" (we are drowning) — and an emotional diptych of longing and detachment. The lyrical ache is unmistakable, but it’s delivered with such lightness, such precision of tempo and tone, that it doesn’t overwhelm — it invites. Agonised Too know how to balance introspection with rhythm, sadness with structure. The track flows like a whispered confession that, instead of drowning, teaches you how to float. Rafał Tomaszczuk’s voice — velvet-dark, subtly fragile — feels tailored for this sonic architecture. There’s no grandiose theatrics, just pure emotion: steady, resonant, and real. His vocal timbre doesn’t perform sadness — it understands it. Bartosz Hervy’s production underlines this elegance. The electronics breathe gently, layering textures rather than overwhelming them. Each beat feels carefully placed, almost as if sound itself had become self-aware. This is Warmwave at its most refined. Visually, the video matches this aesthetic perfectly — black, turquoise, sleek and modern, a minimalist frame for deep emotion. It adds another layer to the story, without overstating it.
Agonised Too have always stood out for their intelligent songwriting and tasteful arrangements — and ToNieMy  is no exception. This isn’t music that screams to be heard. It whispers — and lingers.
